Dr. Shouzheng Zhao, is associate professor and assistant dean at the law school of Shanghai International Studies University, and a Schumann Fellow at the University of Münster. His research interest is in corporate law, business law, capital market law etc. He has published several books and articles in the field of corporate law and business law. Dr. Zhao studied at Shandong University, Bonn University and Muenster University, and received the doctoral degree of Law in WWU. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Economic law at East China University of Political Science and Law, and as a one-year visiting scholar in the Law School of Washington University in St. Louis in the United States, where he perused research related to corporate law and capital market law. He is deputy director of the Institute for International and Comparative Law at Shanghai International Studies University, Researcher at the Sino-German International Economic Law Institute at Tongji University, council member of the China Association of World Legal History, council member at the Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Research Association of Shanghai Law Society, mediator at Shanghai NO.2 Intermediate People’s Court and council member at the Legal commission of the Shanghai Committee of Chinese Zhi Gong Party etc. Furthermore, Dr. Zhao has a rich experience in legal practice. As a lawyer in AllBright Law Offices Shanghai he focusses on corporate and foreign investment-related commercial compliance, capital market law and disputes resolution. He currently is independent director of BiOligo Biotechnology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Yamu Technology Co., Ltd..
