Selena Vitti
Schumann Fellow 2026-2027
Selena Vitti is a Schumann Fellow at the University of Münster for 2026–2027. She has written her PhD in Criminal Law under a co-tutelle agreement between the University of Milano-Bicocca and the University of Münster. She holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution (with Distinction) from King’s College London and a Law Degree from Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.
Her research interests are situated at the intersection of criminal law, international criminal law, feminist legal theory, and transitional justice, with an emphasis on justice practices beyond criminal punishment.
During her fellowship at the University of Münster, she will be co-teaching a seminar on International Criminal Justice with Prof. Dr. Leonie Steinl. She will further work on developing a research project on social movements’ engagements with criminal law, with a specific focus on feminist postcolonial critiques of international criminal law."
