Transcript of Records

At the end of the semester, international students may request a final certificate, the “Transcript of Records” (ToR).

You will not automatically receive your Transcript of Records. You have to request it.

How to request your Transcript of Records:

1. Fill out the following form and supplementary information sheet

ToR form

ToR information sheet

2. Submit both documents in one single e-mail to the Study Information Centre: siz@uni-muenster.de

3. Submit all of your certificates of achievement ("Scheine") to the Study Information Centre.

Please note: Only the grades of written examinations taken at the Faculty of Law are reported to us electronically. This means that you must provide certificates of achievement for all other graded coursework or examinations (e.g. language courses at the Language Centre, graded essays, oral examinations).

After receiving and reviewing all of your relevant certificates, we will then issue two copies of your Transcript of Records and send them to the postal address you have provided.

FAQs about ToR:

The International Office also offers a downloadable ToR form. Which one should I use?
Our ToR form contains all relevant conversion tables for Law courses. Therefore, we ask you to only use the ToR form sent to you by the Study Information Centre at the Faculty of Law.

I will be staying in Münster for two semesters. Can you issue me a Transcript of Records listing my grades for both semesters?
No. The ToR is only issued for one semester at a time. Therefore, if you require a ToR for your first semester, be sure to submit your completed ToR form by the given deadline.

Where can I find the course numbers?
You can find the course numbers ("Belegnummer") in the course catalogue.

I’ve been waiting a very long time to receive my examination grades. What can I do?
Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is try to be patient a little longer. The correction period often takes two to three months. During this period you can log onto Wilma I at any time to see whether your grades are already available. Please bear in mind that the results of FFA examinations in particular are often not reported until the beginning of the following semester.
