Selena Vitti is a PhD candidate in Criminal Law at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), currently in the final stages of completing a Cotutelle-Agreement with the University of Münster to write her PhD thesis under the co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Leonie Steinl.

Selena holds a double degree in Law from the University of Bologna and King’s College London, where she completed an LLM in International Dispute Resolution with full marks.

She has been a visiting doctoral student at the Institut für Kriminalwissenschaften since March 2024.

Her research interests include gender-based crimes, international criminal justice, transitional justice and international human rights law.
