Barrier-free access to the Law Library I (RWS I)

Please notify the RWS I library staff at the front desk on the first level of the Juridicum. An elevator is located in the stairwell next to the lockers.

A special study carrel is reserved for wheelchair users in the “Civil Law” section of the reading room.
A second study carrel equipped with an optical reader is also available in the “Commercial Law” section.

Barrier-free access to the Law Library II (RWS II)

The main reading room is only accessible via a revolving door. However, the staff can widen the door partitions upon request. If you know you will need assistance, please contact the library staff in advance (+49 (0) 251 83-22383) to avoid a delay.

Barrier-free access to the Legal History Library

The Legal History Library is handicapped accessible. To reach the library, use the entrance to the Bistro Oeconomicum and then take the elevator to the fourth floor. Please contact the front desk at the RHB in advance (+49 (0) 251 83-22761) so that we can assist you with opening the doors.

Handicapped accessible toilets

You can find a handicapped accessible toilet in the Juridicum on Level 0 next to the lockers of the law libraries. At Bispinghof 24-25 (AUB), the lavatory is located on the ground floor next to the main entrance.
