It was a great pleasure for Prof. Dr. Friederike Malorny to have the opportunity to discuss „AI and Labour Law from an EU Law Perspective“ at the esteemed Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna on October 2, 2024. This presentation was part of the Jean Monnet Module EULA – EU Law for Algorithm, in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Social Rights (IRCSR).
The topic of AI and labour law is a rapidly evolving field, and it was an honour to share insights and expertise with the academic community at the University of Bologna. The discussion focused on the current state of EU law regarding artificial intelligence and its impact on labour rights, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that arise from the increasing use of AI in the workplace.
The IRCSR provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary research and dialogue, and I am grateful to have been a part of this initiative.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Leonardo Battista and Prof. Dr. Emanuele Menegatti for their kind invitation and warm welcome. The hospitality and intellectual curiosity of the hosts and attendees made this experience truly unforgettable. What a great chance to engage with scholars and researchers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, fostering a deeper understanding of the complex issues surrounding AI and labour law!
