Remonstration instructions
- Remonstrations must be submitted in full (examination paper and reasons for remonstration) to the secretariat no later than two weeks after publication of the results in WiLMa II. They are sent by e-mail to kriminologie@wwu.de. Timely receipt of the e-mail is sufficient to meet the deadline. Remonstrations received later will not be considered.
-
Remonstrations must be justified in detail in writing. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Alleged “correction errors” must be presented individually. Reasons must be given as to how these have been reflected in the assessment.
It should be noted that not every marginal note has a negative influence on the assessment. Marginal comments often only contain explanatory notes.
-
A remonstration is a request for a factual reassessment of an examination performance. Dissatisfaction with the grade alone is not a reason for appeal. A remonstration can be based on the following reasons in particular:
a) parts of the examination paper have not been marked in error. A non-assessment cannot be assumed simply because there are no comments on individual pages of the examination paper. Rather, it must be clear from the final assessment that parts of the examination paper were not assessed. This does not apply if parts are not assessed due to a lack of legibility.
b) The assessment was carried out unlawfully.
-
Remonstrations cannot be based on comparisons with other examination papers.
-
Any solution sketches do not claim to be complete or correct.
-
Grades can also be lowered on re-review (reformatio in peius).
