Our team focuses on corporate law, bankruptcy law, and capital markets law. We are particularly interested in corporate restructuring and its legal and economic implications, digital and societal transformation processes and their effects on business law, e.g., the increasing corporate responsibility for human rights, environmental and climate protection (ESG) within their own organization and their supply chains. Further, we study the formation and evolution of contracts in business transactions, in particular that of M&A contracts. Methodologically, our team’s research is not limited to doctrinal arguments but also draws from economic and behavioral economics, comparative law, and empirical perspectives.
